Any news on the soundtrack for Jack Ryan season 2?I was hoping for Ramin Djawadi to compose The Eternals, well Joseph Trapanese is a good composer so its good news.John powell is flying lowkey now which sucks, His X3 score is just jaw dropping. The Eternals would be perfect for him cause he'd make it epic but Joseph Trapanese is scoring that Surprised Jablonsky hasn't tackled DC or Marvel yet eitherDamn i miss Klaus, he needs a damn come back. Stupid talentedpush...

please add them...
Iíve talked to Lorne (we follow each other on Instagram), he says heís very open to doing a superhero movie.

Plus, Henry Jackman tackling Black Widow isnít a surprise, but itís pleasant news indeed. Heís scored for her during Winter Soldier, so I hope we get an expansion of whatever thematic material there was for her in the Captain America films.

P.S, itís long overdue for Powell to score another superhero movie. X3: The Last Stand is a solid score and Iíd like to hear his ideas for a MARVEL or DC film.He has only had two films get released though this year ?What has IMDB got to do with it ?I mean 7 films and 2 tv shows from his IMDB with upcoming projects.@James Lorne did 7 films this year and last project will be 6 Underground in December 2019. Also, He has 9 projects with 6 films and 2 tv shows, I checked out from his IMDB with upcoming projects.How many films has Balfeís done this year ?
Whatís wrong with Gemini Man?I would love to see Lorne in a superhero movie, but the truth is that his calendar is very changing and that is not good, since it gives the feeling that one day he is making a movie and the next day a different one, and it gives me the feeling that you don't just squeeze the potential of a movie. (I prefer to make a series and a movie and make it spectacular, to make eight movies like Gemini man)Yeah, I always thought that would be the case for the Academy Awards. Don't know about others but if it's not eligable for the Oscars I can't see Disney submitting it for consideration at any other awards either. Could be wrong - I have the vague notion BATB got an FYC despite being ineligable.

Best thing to hope for is either a leak of the 'sessions' or a future official expanded score release.John Powell composing the eternals would be a dream come true. Itíd be so amazing. I also want Lorne to compose a super hero movie but he has yet to do one which is very odd considering how popular he isvery underrated score - you can't change my mind
Henry Jackman seems to be composing Black Widow, it's great news. The bad thing is that Joseph Trapanese composes The Eternals, would have preferred Powell or has one of the Gregson Williams brothers (preferably Harry).Zimmer himself confirmed on Facebook that this score wouldn't be eligible.What a beautiful score... The 'Opening Titles' is probably one of HG-W's best dramatic pieces. Very beautiful and haunting, and overall a great showcase of Harry's dramatic sensibilities. I remember reading somewhere that he's very proud of this score, and it's not hard to understand why if you listen to it.but the lion king is preexisting music that has previously won an Oscar. I donít see that happening againHave you listened to Star Wars: The Last Jedi?
That was nominated and had tons of pre-existing music

I'm guessing a release for a Zimmer/Nolan assignment is guaranteed. The format is more likely a matter of uncertainty.

Miles reply Replies: 0 || 2010-06-08 00:00:00
I'm starting to wonder if this actually will be released. I mean, WaterTower has taken it down from their website, and all we really have to go on is the info on Amazon. Do you think it's been cancelled and Amazon hasn't caught up yet?

Yes indeed it vanished from WaterTower's website...

Funny thing is Amazon credits Lorne as composer with HZ... Finally ? :D

Lawrence reply Replies: 0 || 2010-06-02 00:00:00
I understand that Lorne Balfe makes the additional music but why on amazon and also on wikipedia is he's called as the second composer?

Anonymous reply Replies: 0 || 2010-06-02 00:00:00
Why is there no such thing on WaterTower website?

Anonymous reply Replies: 0 || 2010-06-02 00:00:00
It's available for pre-order on Amazon now, will be released on July 13.

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 0 || 2010-06-02 00:00:00
@Lawrence

Whatever the official credit is, it's a secret for nobody that Lorne is more than just the "additional music" guy... ;)

Lawrence reply Replies: 0 || 2010-06-02 00:00:00
@Hybrid Soldier

But do you expect that we become a soundtrack cover credits: Music Composed by Hans Zimmer & Lorne Balfe? I don't think so. This is not the same as in "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight". And by the way I heard that "Inception" will be a independence work by Zimmer with minimal use of additional music.

Miles reply Replies: 0 || 2010-06-02 00:00:00
The official site has a real sample of the official score up. It sounds great: it starts off with some guitar work by Johnny Marr (whom Zimmer has confirmed as being involved), and then the simple tempo established just builds and builds...I really hope this gets released!

Enrico reply Replies: 0 || 2010-06-02 00:00:00
How do you know that it has original music?

Miles reply Replies: 0 || 2010-06-02 00:00:00
A blog called "The Playlist" reported it. Plus, since Zimmer was attached to the project pretty early on, I think it's reasonable to assume that what's on the site is his work.

I heard a rumour that Hans and John will be scoring Disneys new "Winnie the Pooh" film. I'm pretty worried that hans isn't planning to do the new Pirates film - this is his schedule for next summer

March 18 - Rango
May 20 - Pirates 4
June 3 - Kung Fu Panda 2
July 15 - Winnie the Pooh

It's possible but fairly tight. But possibly with the new director and direction he won't be interested in returning to POTC. I really hope not.

2012 should be one of his best years ever with sequels to Sherlock Holmes, Angels and Demons and the Dark Knight, three of his best scores in recent times

Also the hobbit by howard shore! Can't wait for 2012!!

Adrian reply Replies: 0 || 2010-05-19 00:00:00
@ blondie,

I heard Hans won't do Rango, but I don't recall who would be doing it in his place... I thought it was John Powell, and Kung Fu Panda 1 was with John Powell, so probably they would compose 50/50.
That leaves only Winnie as a ''complete'' project, so he could have time for Pirates 4!

Anonymous reply Replies: 0 || 2010-05-19 00:00:00
Yeah Kung Fu Panda's the only one thats right on top of P4 really.

That's the first I've heard that hans wont do rango - are you sure you're not mixing it up with Mars Needs Moms (john powell replaced hans on this)

Enrico reply Replies: 0 || 2010-05-19 00:00:00
I agree with Blondie, even if I prefer to hear Zimmer in POTC4 than in Kung Fu Panda 2... :S
