Having seen the film Hybrid, can you speculate where the missing tracks from the original score would have gone? I'm just trying to make a chronological tracklist for both the new and original scores, and I won't be able to reference the movie myself. Thanks! =)
Hi Bondo, nice to see you here, hope all is well !
"Final Battle" is the old version of "Killing The Demon"
"Season Of The Witch" is an unused "Main Title" which should have been after the Prologue.
"Anna & Kay" is the old version of "I Was There"
"Felson & Kay Fight" is the old version of "Teach Him Some Manners"
"Behmen", I don't know, it might have been near the beginning, when the character appears for the first time, after the Main Titles.
From the old OST :
"The Cardinal" should have been between "The Village" & "Is That A Witch?"
"Trenches" should have been before "Eckhart's Funeral"
"Dungeons" doesn't ring a bell... There's no such a scene in the film... Was supposed to be near the beginning, but as all the Opening of the movie changed almost totally, I guess it was just wiped out !
And "Deliver Us From Evil", I don't know either, I might have missed the sentence in the movie... :O lol
Thanks for the info, Hybrid! Things here are.... sandy. ;) I'm having a pretty tough time getting soundtracks, so it looks like I'll have to resort to iTunes and/or Amazon MP3. At least I have access to the internet though! I'm digging the new stuff for SEASON, especially "Crusades"
BTW I updated the tracklist for Season ! It's quite a mess !
I did watch the film yesterday (which was pretty cool, far from those terrible reviews I read, but I'm good audience ;)) !
And you want something in chronological order, it should look close to that :
01 - 1234 AD 02 - Crusades 03 - The Plague 04 - The Village 05 - Is That The Witch ? 06 - Behmen & The Girl 07 - Teach Him Some Manners 08 - Eckhart's Funeral 09 - Crossing The Bridge 10 - Wormwood 11 - Wolf Attack 12 - Road To Severac 13 - Clavis Salomonis 14 - Dead Monks 15 - Like Cockroaches 16 - Kill The Demon 17 - I Was There
I read in a interview a while ago that hans was goona speak to disney about releasing The Lion King Complete score or similar, have you heard anything, know anything or can ask anything about this. I really want that cd. thanks for ur help
Wormwood 1:06 Road to Severac 3:00 Crusades 5:14 Clavis Salomonis 1:52 Crossing the Bridge 5:00 Is That the Witch? 1:42 The Plague 2:27 Kill the Demon 2:53 Eckhart's Funeral 1:14 1234 Ad 6:04 Teach Him Some Manners 1:09 The Village 3:09 Behmen & the Girl 1:19 Wolf Attack 3:43 Dead Monks 2:43 Like Cockroaches 2:17 I Was There 2:06 Behmen (Bonus Track) 1:45 Season of the Witch (Bonus Track) 2:02 Felson & Kay Fight (Bonus Track) 1:18 Anna & Kay (Bonus Track) 2:46
About what I wrote, Atli commented... First, he was alone to rework the score, no co-composer, it was an imdb mistake... ;)
Atli : "It's been a bit complicated. The score came out "by accident" and then got pulled. I did the rescore so I expect to add some of the new music on there and hope to re-release when the movie comes out.
The good thing is that the reshoots have made it a better film and I think the score is better too."
I think it's one really weird situation here ! Quite rare !
The film was supposed to come out in late March, so the soundtrack was planned... They finally cancelled the film (at the last minute, it seems), but they did not cancel the score, which was available for several months !!
Now, the soundtrack is not available anymore (last time I checked the various digital stores, at least...), the film got some reshoots, reedits etc... Apparently a new composer came in (to rework the new version of the film ?) and it's coming out in January... I don't know what's gonna happen to the score in film, or to that score release...
Actually, it's pretty fun, I think this release can now be considered a bootleg... And, who knows, maybe a lot of it is a rejected score after all !
