The rejected Paesano's score was leak, only 15 minutes, but, man, i would love listen the whole thing, because sounds much better and interesting than Balfe's.Most probablyI am not a hybrid, i will try to give my opinion. I think, music in 5 season will come out when and 6 season. But I really want to be wrong!!! :)It's very sad...(((The 'Allentown Brothers' track is pretty damn awesome (find it on YouTube). It's like a mix between gothic Elfman, Desperate Housewives and Transformers. I love it.

It's one of those scores that people don't talk about much but it's actually pretty cool.

An awesome venue would be the Opera House in Odessa.Want this so bad!!!Does anyone have a breakdown of this with the official score album?
Hats off to Batu Sener for working on many of the score's best cues though! It all comes to personal preference I think. Personally I’ve moved on from collecting cd’s (or anything really) and would rather have everything digital simply to utilize space.

That being said, I completely understand the appeals of having physical media, it would be sad to see that go away for the people who really love it.
It's not only to appreciate the work, its to have something "real" in your hands, for your music collection. I don't like only to have a digital music archive. Of course, i rip all the cds i own to WAV and MP3. But i want to have them in my physical music collection. These day, sure. But we usually get news of the next one by the time he's finished wrapping up the current one.Powell only does 1 score a year.Still no news on his next score? Is he taking a break or something? Working on more concert stuff? Was pleasantly surprised by this one when I first heard it. Outside of the ‘modern scoring’ portions you get some fun noir music for the squad, solid action writing, and even some good emotional cues.

Also gotta love the rhythmic idea from Antz popping up here...
Also, the use of the guitars by Jablonsky, are still the best since the 90sI give a spin (almost 4 years after my last listening), it grown on me (still don't consider of the best of Jab), but much better than Skyscraper (ok score) and Battleship (guilty pleasure, but not a good score by any means), i like the style of Jablonsky in this one, his rhythms (but i still don't care about the 'motif' for Cohen or certain sound design tracks like 'You Can't Shoot Me' or 'You Know the Drill')

But still has such cool action moments (Hot Potato With a Grenade) and emotional/romantic moments, and still enjoyed that from this.<3 Buck Takes the LeadHybrid do you know what cues Mancina worked on here? I read in the Twister booklet that the director heard a cue from this and wanted Hans for Twister but he told him that it was actually Mark.100% for HybridSoldier!

Levente: My personal opinion is that all the stuff around Snake`s theme (and especially Father and Son) is amazing.
The thing with MGS3/4`s addition music is that MGS3 is composed just by HGW and Norihiko Hibino ... MGS4 is composed by HGW (+David Buckley and Toby Chu) and about 10 other composers from Hibino`s GEM (something like a different version of RCP). GEM was called in at the last minute when Konami realized that 20 minutes of music by HGW aren`t nearly enough for the game (so they quickly composed and re-edited around two or three hours of music - that`s probably the reason why only HGW`s tracks are played by a real orchestra).

Sorry for the OT. :)

The funny thing about MGS4 was that I enjoyed the music by all the Japanese composers much more than the cues by HGW. I really don't know what happened there, but in my opinion HGW's cues sounded a lot cheaper, not just in terms of composition, but even in terms of instrumentation etc. Ah well, MGS2 was still the best, musically speaking.

"that`s probably the reason why only HGW`s tracks are played by a real orchestra"

Funny cause I think Williams never used any orchestra in MGS2, MGS3 and MGS4. Maybe I'm wrong but I'm 100% positive.

Levente: You can see in the making of documentary that they had a recording session in Abbey Road studios (and Father and Son doesn`t sound like something that`s played by synthesizers ... except choir and a snare drum). In fact it sounds quite similar to "Lisa and Gary" from Team America`s OST.

Levente: or MGS4 (at least all HGW`s tracks). .)

I never really liked MGS4, I only once listened it never caught me, and though there are some good stuff, MGS3 was much better, even the other composers did much better in MGS3.

And what about Kameo, and MGS2? Or MGS3? Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2, or any Medal of Honor soundtracks by Lennertz and Giacchino?

@ Levente,

Yes it is. But it is situated in our time, and you have the choice to fight along side the American side and the Al Quaida side (if I'm correct). It was all over the news some weeks ago.
