Rush:<br>www.y outube.com/wa tch?v=xi2r11gYBDwFull concert from Vienna is on youtube..<br><br>Time:<br>www.y outube.com/wa tch?v=r2rKi6vhNJQWhich scores has he done this with?Wasn’t sure where to post this but anyone looking for a classic RCP style score check out Robin Hood by Joseph Trapanese - I know he’s not an RCP guy but this sounds very much like 2,000s Zimmer and co.Exactly...
Zimmer to score Dune?<br><br>"There are also some early rumblings (ha, Dune, rumblings, get it) that perhaps Hans Zimmer may be scoring the Arakkis epic."<br><br>https://www.bleedingcool.com/2018/11/18/dune-timothee-chalam et-doesnt-know-what-fear-is/?fbclid=IwAR0wB7FOM_Bw8S7gJ4Nm8P xrSDLJhiooWRSTRaOFJdWSKSrkA50mZVIe-_II don't understand the composer's reasoning. If a piece of music is written with a palette of sounds in mind, it will only work as intended when those stems are all present. One can't aim to do a painting of a pasture and then leave all the green color out because some Gothic Art critic doesn't like the color. From albums yes, not from the scores... lolemoji movie. live action Pokémon movie. 5 transformers movies. Let’s be honest studios have no clue what people wantAre you sure Jackmans been removing the electronics from his music, or just from his albums?<br><br>Civil War was noticeably different, if you compare the OST to what you heard in the movie.
Hybrid said there was some sort of legal issue that came up which prevented use of the samples or something like that.Eh, Shore is a smart composer. He could make it work. I guess whether that's what studios think audiences want is another question entirely...Is it me or are none of the soundtracks on the website showing the sample tracks that you could listen to anymore?Have you heard that Henry Jackman will composing his music for the upcoming 2019 picture called Pokemon: Detective Pikachu? I wonder what the film soundtrack would sound like. Hmm...I think that Howard´s style of music doesn´t really fit to the post apocalyptic genre
For a Peter Jackson production I was expecting Howard Shore.I listened to the score and is one of the most entertaining scores of this year. It's great to see the main theme return but there are a lot of new elements to enjoy and discover here. There were parts that kind of reminded me of Incredibles 2, like the begining of Shank. And tracks like Vanellope's March or Big Strong Man In Need of Rescue are just pure fun.<br><br>Really great score!I was this tracklist for a 3rd cd floating around, is this legit ?<br><br><br>Disc 1 <br>1. From Den of Geek’s report on the advanced screening at NYCC:

“The music is audibly different from the more traditionally triumphant John Ottman theme in the past several X-films. Sounding in a single pass to my layman’s ear more than a bit like Interstellar, complete with a haunting ticking refrain that is more chorus here, Zimmer’s music could (and may) be recorded on an organ with the way it reaches with a rising sense of doom and uncertainty as the X-Men travel into space.”

I hope Zimmer keeps Ottman’s X-Theme, at least for continuity’s sake.

No way !

Jackman did perfect without it... If Hans could bring one thing back, it'd be Henry's Magneto theme ! :P

Normally I’m not a big fan of Ottman’s music, but I do think his X-Men theme is a home-fun. It would be great to hear Zimmer do his twist on it, although if TASM2 is anything to go by it is probably unlikely.

And yes, Jackman’s Magneto theme is awesome! I was disappointed that they ended up ditching it for DOFP...

Looking forward to it. I love the idea of a fusion between interstellar and a superhero score.

HunterTech2018-10-07 09:15:19
The First Class Magneto theme actually is in DOFP, even if it was a producer requested thing.

Anyway, I think that the X-Men series has had such a nice and varied history for their musical scores that adding Zimmer to the mix is fine by me. I'm not sure if it could beat Beltrami's Logan from last year, but it'll definitely add something different to main series.

I'd actually love for Powell's X3 theme to return, but I doubt they'd want to reference much from that film (even though DP kinda looks like an X3 remake so far). So with that, hearing Ottman's X theme one more time wouldn't hurt one bit. :D

I don't like when new composers disregard to music continuity. Hope that Zimmer will make some references to Ottmann's theme, like it was with James Horner's Spider-Man theme.

Mephariel2018-10-07 21:52:29
Zimmer made references to Horner's Spider-Man theme? Which cue?

Miralsice2018-10-07 22:53:44
I'm almost sure that I heard similar motives at the end of the film. I think this is "You're That Spider Guy" track, but I could be wrong.

Michael Kamen's score by X-Men more like classic & heroic, simply, I like X-Men theme too.
