u ask "is it from the sessions?" and you know thats rips whith sfx? :D hahah. made my dayI think we were all clear that both Snyder and Tom intended to use material from Hans. I don’t think he’s writing new music, but I do think Tom will use a lot of Hans.Is it true that Hans Zimmer is working on the Snyder Cut? That would be spectacular!Lol it’s probably low quality rips from the filmwhaaat? the complete score?? where??
where did you find it? what is it called on youtube?i found a complete album on YouTube, but the audio quality is not good as I thought. Is it from the recording session? Where can I find a high quality audio of this album to listen?just going to leave this here: el matador del mar, a great character, killed so easily because sparrow needed to be the great hero.

i disapprove, long life salazar!!What is the name of the song playing when Maggie leaves it’s beautiful and haunting. The music from this movie is sheer genius a mix of heavy metal, jazz, and rock and roll! Awesome...!Yes! Finally someone else who has heard it to! I am a HUGE fan of both trilogy's, do you like POTC?
R.I.P. to Ennio Morricone, dead at 91.

For those who aren’t as familiar with his material, check out Once Upon a Time in the West, easily one of the greatest scores of the past century. You can definitely hear where Zimmer took inspiration from, for Pirates/Lone Ranger/Sherlock/Rango/etc.

“Parlay” is such a love letter to the main tune from OUATITW...it‘s unreleased...@hybrid soldier
Where can i hear the songs you have listed out? I can't find it on YouTubeLooks like Zimmer's abandoned Z+. It only worked on one iOS system, then because it wasn't recompiled for the next system wouldn't decode the music you paid for. Locking your purchases into an app was a VERY BAD idea. Now there's nothing out there that's as good at providing a great surround sound experience for headphones. So Lorne's mp3 uploads. Would anyone class that as an 'official' release of the music from the movie?
Currently watching this movie the first time ^^ ... and then... suddenly a music motive spontaneously pops up. Sound exactly like a little part from Armageddon "Secondary Protocol" - really cool :) love the music in this movie. Very intense.I don't mean to pile on but do you really think that Hans touring is the only obstacle to a CD release of a completely forgotten 12-year-old film and score by a different composer? And why would Hans' tours be responsible for the fact that many albums these days don't get a physical release? While at the same time those tours even got an LP release... lolYou are aware that there's a pandemic going on right now, right?I'm pretty sure that neither did he.

Hans ZIMMER to score KUNG FU PANDA

Hans Zimmer will be heading to China to absorb the culture and get to know the Chinese National Symphony -- all as part of his preparation to compose for a forthcoming feature film that is set in that ancient land. Something on the Ming Dynasty, perhaps? Nope -- for the Paramount summer 2008 release Kung Fu Panda.
"Even the title should tell you that we ain't in Kansas any more," Zimmer points out. "With Jack Black as the big kung fu-fighting panda, you know it's going to be something else." Jackie Chan, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie and Lucy Liu are also voice talents lined up for the movie -- and hot record producer Timbaland will contribute to the soundtrack.

Woops, my bad, Dark Knight is July 18th, not June 11th. So I guess he won't be that stressed.

So, the line-up includes for 2008

Kung Fu Panda - June 8th
The Dark Night - June 11th
Frost/Nixon- Nov 7th
Madagascar 2- Nov 7th

That's a HUGE year!

Sweet. His score for The Last Samurai was amazing, can't wait for this one. Plus, 'Kung-Fu Panda' how fun does that sound? Woo hoo.

Chinese national Symphony, that sounds good after I know what great performance they did for The Promise.

Mark reply Replies: 0 || 2007-09-19 00:00:00
very cool. agreed that Zimmer wants to have a full animated score. He wasnt really given justice for Madagascar. With all the other rock music cues and what not. We have to wait and see what Zimer can cook up. Im sure he will nail another perfect score. And hopefully start accepting Oscars again.

Good..................

BUT, when the gentlemen will star work on The Dark Knight?

Few months ago, it was supposed to be a Rupert Gregson-Williams's project... Finally, it seems Hans needs to come back to CGI animated films two years after Madagascar...

I'm sure he will give a call to old friend Klaus who knows very well China thanks to The Promise... ;-)

Chinese styled music will be a little bit different than Japanese music Hans uses all the the time (Black Rain, Pearl Harbor, The Last Samurai)... Maybe a little bit closer to the Sao Feng parts of POTC 3...

And the eternal question, which team behind Hans for this film ? In my opinion, we can count on Geoff Zanelli (always available for asian HZ scores : Pearl Harbor, The Last Samurai, POTC 3 and his own Into The West) and Nick Glennie-Smith (flute-man, just like Beyond Rangoon and We Were Soldiers)... But, as usual, there is a lot of work before that, so wait and see !
