I'm guessing that the end credits will be where we hear what Williams wrote for the film, a concert arrangement of the new theme he contributed. So it'll start with the classic fanfare and then lead into that, and then if there's any time left to fill they'll put in some of Powell's material. For the most part I agree with you, especially in regards to continuity. Him writing a third theme for Cap makes no sense whatsoever, considering that the credits of TWS had a more traditional take on his CA theme which is basically what he ended up writing for Civil War. Same with the lack of The Falcon theme, which was even used in Ant-Man. I have a feeling this has something to do with what the Russo Bros wanted however.

As for the overall score though, I actually think it works great in context. Considering the film is a thriller, the more nuanced approach Henry took here feels very appropriate. And even though itís a short motif, I genuinely like the theme for Black Panther.Listening to all these fan made covers!!! They all are more than awesome. Its feels good how Hans Zimmer is inspiring the world around to create such a great music. Lots of applause to all the fans who have submitted their covers over here. Good luck !!!
I have been revisiting a lot of scores of the MCU leading up to Infinity War, and what I don't really understand is why they didn't used almost any of the previously established themes in this one. He even created a new theme for Captain America, when he could have used his own theme from Winter Soldier. In fact, I think Winter Soldier's theme is the only one returning. Age of Ultron, although it was a really chaotic score, at least had some continuity and was a lot of fun, but this score feels flat for the most part of it.

And I really enjoyed TWS but for me this was a step down. But I must recognize that there are some great action cues, especially in the Airport Battle, but apart from that I didn't found anything that remarkable. This might sound like a rather... odd question, but I did ask it when it came to Rogue One. Is John Powell going to use a 'classic' arrangement of the End Credits Suite, or is he writing something entirely new? The end credits theme is pretty much a staple of all the films so far and it would be interesting to know what Powell has in mind for his score there.
And the release date has finally come !

MAY 25th !

Will it be Powell's masterpiece ? I hope so ! But it's going difficult to sound better than HTTYD !Yep, I noticed. And in mp3
I guess YT is still the better wayThere's a way to do it but I won't tell you for fear that I get HULK SMASHED by Hybrid. Besides, the file is in 112 kbps, it's barely worth the trouble (and I'm not even much of an audiophile).totally agreed...
maybe some way to hack intoI hope the Imperial March is in the score.
Thank You NotaPix. That was really helpful. :)
I've never found this one either. It's the biggest gap in my HGW collection probably. Wonder why it never got a proper score release, sure it's a bit mickey-mousey and insubstantial but they could have at least put 30 minutes or so on the regular album, not just one track...hello Piyush VC
sorry, I hope I have correctly understood your question, I do not know English (google translator).
I do not remember well how long my covers have been published here after my submission.
but if you would like to publish your own cover of the composer Hans Zimmer here, it is more correct that you address the questions of this type to 'antas' admin.
as I said, I hope my answer is relevant to your question.
bye :)Anywhere I can find a complete recording of this soundtrack? I've looked everywhere.Hey there.. Your music score is really good, I liked them all. I wanna know within how many days after your submission, were your tracks posted over here?
Can anyone point me to where I can get a copy of this? I'd love to have this in my collection. It's been nearly 27 years since this came out in 1991.Nop, you're not the only one.

I can say everything i listen John Powell is something with quality and personality.

How to Train Your Dragon is one of his best. You are missing out.

But I may be the only person who thinks Face/Off is one of his best scores. I love that score more than nearly any John Powell scores.I'm agree that

I am so INSANELY excited for this, having grown up on the Pirate scores. If anyone can write music on the level of Hans, it's Geoff. Hopefully there is a cue on the level of the William Tell Finale from Lone Ranger.

In regards to returning themes, I hope the "Marry Me" theme returns in some form (considering that Orlando Bloom is returning)

David2017-03-07 02:16:01
But Keira Knightley'l isn't so it doesn't make sense to :(

People under-estimate just how good Hans is at coming up with catchy ideas. Arrangement is a very different skill.

Hopefully GZ delivers the goods!

I agree. Hans Zimmer has written, perhaps, the best themes in film and game music history.

Edmund Meinerts2017-03-07 15:58:41
Film history - eh, it's debatable, I guess. I still think Williams has Zimmer beat for greatest themes, but I won't argue that Zimmer has done very, very well for himself there.

Game music history - yeah, no way.

rockhound2017-03-18 08:21:25
i would say, williams wrote some of the most iconic themes in film history, but not the greatest. i think there are alot of composers, who have written great themes. zimmers Backdraft theme for example is the best firefighter theme in film history and its not worse than any other williams theme. or zimmers The Burning Bush theme from The Prince Of Egypt. and there are countless other examples also for others composers.

Can't wait ! It's getting closer !!

Yes!

Waymann2017-03-03 08:36:30
I'm having faith in Geoff Zanelli. But hopefully the score is gonna be a good release. Not those shit albums with remixes and with just 30% of actual music from the movie, leaving all the best parts out.

Agent2017-03-03 14:09:35
I hope for a good album release.

Edmund Meinerts2017-03-03 14:27:20
Well, the album for On Stranger Tides was only that way in an attempt to hide how much of that score was rehash...so as long as this score is *not* just rehash (while still keeping enough references to the old Pirates music we all love), we can assume that the album release will be OK as well.

Waymann2017-03-03 16:13:02
Rehash or not, I want the score as it sounds in the movie... It says "Original Motion Picture Soundtrack" on the cover for some reason right ?

Oscarailbo2017-03-03 17:07:34
Anyone knows if that ghosting lullaby at the beginning is from Zanelli ?

Joshua2017-03-04 00:47:20
The Lullaby is Drunken Whaler from the video game Dishonored. They just changed Whaler to Pirate.

I seriously couldn't be more excited about this. I hope to God Geoff delivers the goods. And I believe he will. :)

isildur2017-03-06 06:26:48
I've very high expectations on this. Hopefully Geoff knocks it out of the park.

Waymann2017-03-06 08:06:44
That lullaby sounded more like "What Shall We Do With The Drunken Sailor?"

Anonymous2017-03-06 09:44:48
That's because is IS. It's just an arrangement of Drunken Sailor.

Scorefan2017-03-06 17:29:59
Well, if Hybrid is excited for Geoff's score, i think is gonna be great, maybe more than Badelt/Zimmer previous score.

Edmund Meinerts reply Replies: 0 || 2017-03-06 17:02:27
Whatever Geoff ends up doing for this, I hope it's better than the flat, generic trailer music version of He's a Pirate we are hearing here...
