J<br><br>It is on iTunes already.How have you guys heard the album already? :0Jasha is not at Bleeding Fingers anymore, and Dave is busy working with Hans... :)Did Jacob Shea have to do everything himself on this one?What happened to Jasha Klebe and David Fleming who was working with him on Planet Earth and Blue Planet?That amazing tune that featured Sia from the 4-minute trailer doesn't seem to be a part of this album, is it? Will that ever be made available?
Hi there, I believe the border post track and expanded version was just a fanmade project I put together years ago, I'm working on a new fanmade project which is 100 percent original and inspired by Hans Zimmer's music from the 90's.<br>I'll post a link as soon as I finish mastering it. I might have to create a youtube account so I can upload itCan't wait to hear this. I am huge fan of Planet Earth II and Blue Planet II.Is nobody going to talk about this amazing soundtrack???I know I´m 10 years late, but god wish this got complete recordings release, so much music is missing...The track in the video I linked sounds decent. Works well for the scene.
Back in 2003/2004 some guy made his own fan-made "expanded score". <br>Some tracks were actually OST tracks looped, with some drums added in the mix, some were from an unknown source. I only remember some badly-mixed synth cues that sounded like home-made, experimental material.would love to help out, but the video/track is blocked :/Think about Gemini Man, the score come out the same day as the movie (in that case, 11th October), and the details come the same week.<br><br>We'll likely get final details towards the end of the week or early next week. I guess I'm just a little surprised that it's taken this long. The movie had surprise screenings either yesterday or the day before, so it seems like everything's pretty final.Sorry, that is the wrong link above (film version)<br><br>This is the track I'm talking about. Does anyone recognize this version.<br><br>https://youtu.be/etkri6OKLpE
There is an expanded score album with the track called "Sniper/Border Post". It is different from the piece used in the film. Does anyone know the true identity of that track. I like the synth sound and the male vocal singing/wailing/crying in this cue.<br><br>https://youtu.be/DbENmej_cH0But the scores comes out in 1th NovemberThe movie is out this Wednesday in some territories."In the third one he writes the "father and son" theme, it's okay but it's harmonically basic and the melody is UNMEMORABLE"<br><br><br>Aaaaaaaaaaaaand your whole analysis falls flat right there ! :PThanks Edmund.<br><br>@PaulH I am not meaning to say that Balfe cannot compose good music. There are compositions that I like: the Picasso theme is creative and well-written. Just that I find his arrangements of others more compelling usually than his own material.<br><br>An example that is good of this is kung fu panda. His arrangements of themes are really fun and energetic. In the third one he writes the "father and son" theme, it's okay but it's harmonically basic and the melody is unmemorable. Contrast to Hans: the Po theme and Spirit theme are precise, fun, harmonically clever, and memorable. But his score cues sometimes feel lacking: his transitions are clunky, the bridge material is uncreative and basic. <br><br>It must be so much fun to work on those projects together. Coming up with idea and hearing what someone can turn it into, or getting to play with someone's idea without the pressure of starting from scratch.

HANS ZIMMER TO SCORE WONDER WOMAN 1984

Hans Zimmer has signed on to score Wonder Woman 1984. Patty Jenkins returns to direct Gal Gadot as the titular hero. Hans first scored the character in Zack Snyder's Batman V Superman - Dawn Of Justice back in 2016, giving Wonder Woman her now iconic theme. Rupert Gregson-Williams, Hans's longtime collaborator, scored the first Wonder Woman film in 2017. Wonder Woman 1984 will be released by Warner Bros. Pictures on November 1, 2019.

Why are there so many people angry at Hans for scoring superhero movies again.
Averybody says something sometimes that they change later for whatever reason. We don't know what the reason is he's scoring X-Men & WW.

I personally think it's great that Hans is scoring superhero movies and beside that The Lion King and Widows. I think these four scores are going to be great.

mpolonest1232018-08-24 15:04:33
I fully agree. But I do want to see Zimmer actually write a fun and energetic superhero score, much like he did with TASM2 and portions of MoS (and even Megamind if you want to count that). We’ve seen Zimmer tackle the “darker” tone plenty of times with BvS and the Nolan trilogy.

Personally I did not like Batman v Superman, and frankly I’m glad to see the trend of overly serious, self-important superhero films go away. There will never be another franchise like Nolan’s.

mpolonest1232018-08-24 15:05:40
And as for the score *most likely* being analog synth, I think it could make for some fun music. Like a less abrasive version of Chappie...

superultramegaa2018-08-24 15:50:26
Well, just speaking for myself, I don't think Hans has it in him anymore. The Dark Knight Trilogy was well done, the little work he did in TASM 2 was pretty fun, BvS was a mixed bag, and his career has gone downhill along with his track record for superhero films.

I fully believe he had the most stress with BvS. You can hear it in the music. He just can't get a really great track in there. He's trying to make a new Batman theme but it's just a slightly re-arranged version of the "Batman Rising" theme from Batman Begins, boy choir and all. His Superman theme didn't feel any different in tone to his Batman theme, and the other themes (including Wonder Woman's) were kind of mixed bags themselves.

Of course I'd like to be proven wrong, but it's probably just going to be really cheesy and unpleasant to listen to synths with no orchestra in sight (IMO Wonder Woman's theme should be primarily orchestral because of her age and history), and the electric guitar/cello version of the main theme will be repeated ad nauseam. Very rarely in the past 2 years as he been able to reproduce anything close to how his career used to be.

mpolonest1232018-08-24 16:05:11
@superultramega
But that is your personal tastes. I get not liking synths/electronics, so this probably wouldn’t work for you. But for someone who does enjoy that style of music, I am pretty excited. It all comes down to personal preference.
And in the past few years you still have Interstellar, TASM2, Hidden Figures, KFP3, Chappie, Boss Baby, etc. I think Hans has still “got it” ;-)

But as for BvS, I do agree. Everything feels so uninspired. After MoS built up Superman’s theme, it gets completely downplayed. Even the action cues feel so lifeless overly processed. I feel like this was more on Snyder than Hans though. I wouldn’t be surprised if his “retirement” was an excuse not to do Justice League.

Hans: i'm done with superheroes movies...ah okay...
i need a orchestral score now!!!

dirty_score2018-08-24 10:44:23
Since this is 1984, you can expect more like a synth sound which is not necessarily a bad thing... maybe a throwback to his old days..

Yeah! Come back, Hans!

nvictor reply Replies: 0 || 2018-08-23 16:19:09
not doing superheroes anymore? yea right : ]

clearly doing it for the ladies, in my humble opinion. and it's okay and fine. all that happened in hollywood cost dunkirk the best score award. dunkirk didn't get the award because people were not happy with hollywood. that's what i think happened.

Interesting. Makes me wonder why he didn’t score the first one. Busy with the tour? Clearly not retiring from superheros.

What’s even more interesting, why did he opt-out from Justice League?

Hybrid Soldier2018-08-22 23:05:05
He was, in fact, in the middle of the tour when WW 1 was done...

Mike2018-08-22 23:10:09
Do you think Hans would have scored Justice League if not for the tour?

Hybrid Soldier2018-08-22 23:16:18
Hard to say. I don't think so. I think he really wanted it to be Junkie's moment. I'm sure he would have helped if needed though. Under other circumstances...

Bill Koufo2018-08-23 07:19:05
Maybe the first Wonder Woman was the "amazing script" that Hans was talking about and that would bring him back to the genre. He made that statement in the beginning of 2017 I think, so I guess they asked him to score the movie and he gave it to RGW, because of the tour.

Mephariel reply Replies: 12 || 2018-08-22 23:18:59
I think he knew Justice League would suck big time.

Hybrid, is Hans done with The Lion King yet? I would imagine he has to be working on Dark Phoenix soon right?

Hybrid Soldier2018-08-22 23:26:11
Widows is completed.

TLK is under way and a long process due to the nature of the film (animation, songs etc.).

X Men, he's been working on that for a long time. But since the film seems to be under heavy reshoots all the time, he doesn't even know when the whole thing is gonna be finished (it will have to, at some point ! lol).

...2018-08-22 23:32:04
Did HZ consider POTC5 and decide not to do it because of the tour?

Hybrid Soldier2018-08-22 23:35:39
Never, he closed the POTC door right after POTC 4...

...2018-08-22 23:36:59
Okay. It's too bad how it turned out. They might make a 6th movie as well.

Mephariel2018-08-22 23:44:34
I kind of wish Zimmer would come back for POTC6 just to close the whole thing out. But I think there is no chance at this point.

...2018-08-22 23:47:00
+1

Mike2018-08-22 23:56:06
Eh, if Powell could come back for Jason Bourne, I feel like anything is possible...

Scorefan2018-08-23 00:09:31
@ Hybrid, Hans is considering leave X-Men Dark Phoenix with those massive reshooots?

Hybrid Soldier2018-08-23 00:15:59
Have no clue about JXL's Justice League... As I said, I doubt he wasn't far in the writing process, but I also doubt anything got recorded.

As for X-Men, no, he's definitely NOT quitting it, no matter what's going on with the production.

Mephariel2018-08-23 00:39:56
@Mike

I hope so. But what is working against him coming back is that Zimmer already put his stamp on the series with At World's End. The POTC scores are already some of the most popular in modern times. There is not much motivation for him to come back. If he does, it will only be for the fans.

Nick2018-08-23 01:32:35
So much for retiring from the superhero genre...again. Lol

Sounds like Hans is going to be incredibly busy for the next year or so. Is he feeling at all creatively fatigued from all this?

ThePhantasm2018-08-23 04:04:08
@Hybrid will we ever hear Lorne Balfe do a superhero score? I'm dying to see what he'll do with that

Scorefan reply Replies: 0 || 2018-08-23 00:08:21
@Hybrid, did Tom recorded some music for Justice League? I mean for this controversy about Snyder Cut. Some comments say the runtime with Zack is over 3 hours and there are comments about The Snyder cut is true and have Tom's music.

Well, how's that for a surprise. One could imagine things shifting from HZ to RGW for a sequel, but not the other way around.

As much as I loved RGW’s score for WW, I’m so excited to see Hans return to the character. So much for retiring from superheroes lol...
