Why wouldn't Hans go all-out for something that's going to be viewed on this scale? I mean, how hard is it to compose 45 seconds of compelling, original music when you've worked on innumerable 2+ hour films?
It really does sound like any old piece of library music, doesn't it? Not very "Zimmery" (except in the general ways that a vast amount of modern film music is Zimmery). It's fine but I don't imagine that Hans invested a whole lot of blood, sweat and tears into this, somehow…
Kind of surprised by myself (being a long-time Zimmer fan), but I don't like it at all. The melody sounds like it was done by a 3-year-old. Not very harmonic, not catchy.
Separate question:
Is Toby Chu part of RCP? I think he had some connections at least right?
