Anti-Records will release the soundtrack for the new Paramount Pictures / Nickelodeon Movies feature film RANGO on March 01. Directed by Gore Verbinski of “The Pirates of the Caribbean,” RANGO features Johnny Depp in an original animated comedy-adventure set in the Wild West. With a cast that includes Depp, Isla Fisher, Abigail Breslin, Alfred Molina, Bill Nighy, Harry Dean Stanton, Ray Winstone and Timothy Olyphant as the Spirit of the West, RANGO is an exciting new twist on the classic Western legend of the outsider who saves a town – and himself in the process.
The soundtrack combines a soaring score from best-selling Academy Award® -winning composer Hans Zimmer (“The Dark Knight,” “Inception,” “Pirates of the Caribbean”) with original songs performed by the acclaimed band Los Lobos and other artists. With driving Norteño melodies mixing with Western-inspired orchestral themes, RANGO is a soundtrack for both kids and adults alike. The film opens nationwide on March 4th and the soundtrack will be released digitally March 1st and in stores March 15th.
During the first week of release, from 3/1 to 3/8, a dollar for every RANGO Soundtrack purchased on iTunes will be donated on behalf of all the artists to ServiceNation, a campaign to inspire a new era of voluntary citizen service. The ServiceNation Coalition is comprised of hundreds of organizations who believe in the power of service and are committed to expanding those opportunities to make a critical difference.

Mr. Hans Zimmer and other fans of his music. I listened to an old song with some great European synthesizing and African beats and the opening lyrics said by a male voice: "Listen to the wind of Eternity….." but for the life I cannot remember the song title and the CD title. I want to buy the CD but without the song title and CD title the music store can’t help me. Can anyone remember the song title and CD title? Much thanks in advance. Take care.
