Hi Hans) I don’t know if you will read this message or not. What do you think of Diana Ankudinova’s performance of “Dune”?

My favourite music that Mr Zimmer made for DUNE is still the unreleased Theatrical Teaser music that played ahead of TENET in Summer 2020. That music – brief as it is – is amazingly awe-inspiring. I am in utter suspense until March 2023

unfortunately it’s very likely not by Zimmer & his team

I think we have a glimpse of the main new climactic theme written for the film at around 2:15. Uses the familiar vocal hook from part one but then goes into a new direction

It’s good that Hans is going for these semi-experimentations with new approaches and instruments (that Peter Gabriel and Graeme Revell did decades ago). What he ought to be doing is focusing his attempts on undoing the catastrophic impacts his factory approach has had on on fim music in general. By allowing studios to see that any old dingdong can compose a blockbuster score with the help of software and crew (don’t need to name names, do I?) he has shown that we don’t need creatives like Williams or even Zimmer, but can get AI to blast out the new variation of whatever shit HZ labelled his work on Dunkirk, as that seems to be the norm now, for fuck’s sake. Can’t believe you bellends are defending this approach – it literally is the end of creativity, at least for down-tier guys in RCP. Hans will be okay but the rest willl be computer-generated and if you are okay with your last Balfe fest, you are probably not going to hear this.

Of course purpose is meant, sorry HZ and His Team which thinks they are Suberior and different but then ACT all the same instead of trying to make a difference.

@Baby I blame film directors and producers for hiring composers with the obvious expectation they just deliver Zimmeresque scores. Obviously Zimmer has a lot of influence, but at the end of the day he’s just writing music, not actually dictating what gets written for films generally
