I bought the soundtrack today and it is truly terrific! Congratulations to Hans and all involved. As for the movie, I felt it was bloated and ludicrous. It was saved only by Johnny Depp’s skills as an actor and Hans Zimmer’s skills as a musician. The movie wasn’t worth the price of admission as a film, but as an advertisement for the soundtrack it was excellent. Gore Verbinski and writers Ted Elliot and Terry Rossio have done themselves, the franchise and its fans a great disservice. Hans Zimmer has only elevated himself further.
I bought the soundtrack the day it came out, then went to see the midnight showing of the movie the day it came out. I have to ask, I’ve been looking on the internet all day, and I can’t find the full lyrics to Hoist the Colours. Does anyone have them (including the part Elisabeth sings)?
The musical part in the potc 3 trailer is made with something like 10 different songs. The ones that sound interesting (in my opinion the track when the ship rides over de desert) are from special agency which are specialized in trailer music such as Immediate Music or X-Ray Dog. I have also been looking for these track during a very long time, but X-Ray Dag tracks are not available to public and I haven’t really checked out Immediate Music, so I cann’t help.
The Track "Drink Up Me Hearties" caugth my interrest at once..- beutiful track with a lot of wonderful layers and chatching themes…- Look forwardto the release..
