"Btw, What happened to Daniel Suett (the guy who won the bleeding fingers contest)"
I thought it were 3 guys (?)
On his website: "I am currently residing in Los Angeles, working on Hans Zimmer's campus as a staff composer for the Bleeding Fingers production house."
Hans is already a pop culture icon. Probably the only film composer who made it that far in mainstream entertainment and this isn't even the height of his career yet!
The intro sounds similar to Hannibal and Ring/Ring II

I love seeing Hans on stage just having fun and rocking out. Also a terrific intro and I'm pretty sure that early rendition and the several tweaks helped with the abundance of radio play that song has had.

Benjamin Wallfisch is a pretty fine composer in his own right. Have a listen to some of the stuff on his website.
Btw, What happened to Daniel Suett (the guy who won the bleeding fingers contest).
It looks like Benjamin Wallfisch has become HZ's new "first in command".
"Mainstream."
Williams themes are widley recognizable but they are associated with the movies not with him as a person outside of film music.
Obviously you forget John Williams
