Now thatÂ’s stuble! Great to hear from you.
Does anyone know yet if albums will be released for these scores?
OK, I will freely admit I quite liked the main theme to Poseidon (the rest of the score was uninspired though), and Pirates 1 was great (even though it was a Klaus Badelt score in name only).
Never heard The Promise, but I will give it a try.
I was thinking more of films like Ultraviolet (simplistic, 80s-style video game music), his vandalism of Brian Tyler’s great score to Constantine, and the various dull scores he’s done for The Recruit, Catwoman and Equilibrium.
Also, FYI Klaus Badelt is not the only composer to come out of Media Ventures – I love the likes of John Powell and Harry Gregson-Williams (mainly because they know what an orchestra is lol), and they are the reason I come here.
Can’t help but think how great the score to Rescue Dawn could have been…
I am very sorry Mr SmegmaMerchant to disagree with your opinion, however I admire Klaus greatlyfor his music. Your statement is too general, you seem to have never heard Pirates 1, The Time Machine, K-19, The Promise or Poseidon … just to name a few! Apart from his constant additional music collaboration with Hans Zimmer – now if you don’t like the master’s style I don’t know why you visit this site! Just the same I would respect your opinion if you were to justify it a bit more and not say some general comment!
I think it has to do alot and I mean LOT with how you analize the composer, and that is nothin gmore then personal projection unconciusly, that sjust my humble opinion. TO be a great composer and be called to do such great movies with Klause has made, he needs to have the experience and the music dedication he has been prooving to have. yes just lik eany composer ever, like Bach on eof the greatests, he not always composed a whole 100% pice to the lik eof the human hear. Klause MY respects for you , to come from Germany were unfortunatly music is dead, and Surprise America wow, Props!!!!!
Klaus Badelt is one of the worst composers in film history… how the hell did he get to work on a Werner Herzog movie!?!
Klaus is one of th ebest pupils Zimmer has, I am very curius to see what will he write on this Film.
