Hans Zimmer confirmed to score new Pirates movie
Hans Zimmer is set to start scoring the fourth part in the Pirates of the Caribbean series in January of next year. In Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Jack Sparrow and Barbossa embark on a quest to find the elusive fountain of youth, only to discover that Blackbeard and his daughter are after it too.
That is nice news to hear! I loved his previous scores for the movies! I hope this one is going to be a ruler like the others!

Some news regarding How Do You Know.
Unfortunately, it shouldn’t be released at all… One of the score’s additional music writer told me there’s not enough music in it, and it has tons of short cues in the film (only 10 cues or so are longer than 1 min)…
So, nothing’s coming… Unless HZ surprises us releasing some short OST digitally like It’s Complicated last year… Wait & see…
or will it be released? Ten days til the film opens and no word yet. I was expecting something pretty good for this as hans has been talking about it for a very long time, and working on it since inception was released. If he gets it as good as as good as it gets, we’re in for a treat. (pardon the palindromic pun)
