A new Oscars’ nomination for Hans ZIMMER
A nomination for John POWELL

Hans ZIMMER has been nominated for his music for INCEPTION. But the composer admits he doesn’t understand why Christopher NOLAN‘sn’t nominated for the category “Best Director”, nor Lee SMITH for “Film Editing”.
He adds that everybody is telling all the time the film industry must do something inovating & successful at the same time, and INCEPTION owns this two required qualities. He thinks at the end that the movie’s too much success let the academy think it couldn’t be considered like art.

Hans ZIMMER is nominated alongside his friend John POWELL for How To Train Your Dragon, Alexandre Desplat‘s King’s Speech, A.R. Rahman‘s 127 Hours, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross‘s The Social Network.

The ceremony will take place on February, the 27th. 2011.
