I mean I like Jablonsky cause he has somewhat brought his own style to the table with having a heroic approach. but seriously tyler stop imitating Zimmer
Listened to Thor yesterday and I thought wait isn't this very much similar Iron Man? Good to know that it wasn't just me.

That's funny because Doyle's score from the first had a blatant "Einstein's Wrong" temp from Revenge of the Fallen in "Hammer Found". I guess we get one Transformers ripoff per Thor movie… :p
Yesterday i saw Thor 2. Brian Tyler's music was nicer than expected, but the tone was very, very similar to that of Iron Man 3. Something in Thor's new theme reminded me of Tyler's Iron Man theme. There are a few emotional cues, not bad but truly Zimmer-wannabe. Tyler didn't have a lot of time to compose it and you really can hear it. Still, it's like 100 times better than Avengers' score :p
(And the movie was imo Marvel at its worst: formulaic, predictable, uninventive, unmoving, insanely forgettable)
Why not come up with his own new-but-similar theme, AND keep the old one for occasional and appropriate moments? The best sequel scores are those which retain old themes as necessary and bring new ones in, too. ;)

Yeah, noticed that too!! When you've got Shia Labeouf's face stuck in your head while watching Thor, you know there's something wrong :p
Did you mention the worst temp-track rip of the year (competing with Captain Phillips' "Time" rip) : Witwicky from Transformers at the beginning ?
It took me a minute to find out if it was the actual TF cue or a rewritten one ! lol
