To celebrate Amnesty International’s 50th anniversary, Hans Zimmer and film score collaborator Lorne Balfe have composed an Anthem.
We invite you to join the celebration by creating and spreading your own version of the Anthem. What makes it even better? The best entries win great prizes !

I’m sorry, it was John Cage, not Stockhausen.
Great work,
I want to say something to Mr. Zimmer,
Maestro please don’t call film music entertainment, you can use any modern structure of music for a movie but less freedom, for example please see Shutter Island, modern classical music worked very good for the film, even music of Stockhausen. Writing an avant garde music for a film is hard but it’s possible, i have no doubt that your music is from your proficiency. I think sometimes a simple harmony but new and artistic is often impressive than Birtwistle’s complex operas, leave the video game projects, write a symphony sir, write a modern barbarian horde, i praise your scores just like Ligeti, Part, Morricone, Macmillan, Tavener and many others but one difference, mostly your music is very harmonic. Morricone wrote atonal peaces for films, i think film music is a great art but forgotten by many serious composers, I love you hans with all of my heart and i know that how you love Debora theme.
i love this place
What a wonderful idea, but…
I think they should have kept the submissions as secret until the end of december, release all the submissions at the same time, and dedicate the month of January only for voting, because now, people are going to try to do better than the very first who posted their arrangement (and are now disadvantaged), or take their idea instead of doing a very personal music… Hearing the very first arrangement, i think the one who will win the contest will be original by trying something far from the original version… Come on guys, there are so much things to do !
