Richard King, Hans Zimmer & Alex Gibson
Thanks to our founder member Etienne Grignon, we can present you a look of the exploration of the sonic world of this summer’s blockbuster Batman movie THE DARK KNIGHT presented last October 27th at the Egyptian Theatre, Los Angeles
Oscar and Golden Reel winning supervising sound editor/sound designer Richard King (“War of the Worlds” “Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World” “Signs“) as he presents his process of creating the film’s soundscape. Excerpts of the movie were presented with special “pre-dubb” mixes to illustrate the variety of elements used to create an environment of serious sound.
As an extra special attraction, all of the sound was played through a state-of-the-art audio system developed by Meyer Sound Laboratories so that you could hear every subtle and explosive element.

Hello there, were you guys ever able to get more pictures or video of the event?
Dear Mr. Zimmer, I feel very fortunate to have experienced music that has been composed by you for films such as AI, Hannibal to name a few but ‘The Holiday’ has been the best score I have ever heard and experienced. You are a true genius and I wanted to thank you for your contribution to the music world. I wish you the very best in everything that you do.
