No more Oscars for Hans ZIMMER
The german website ONLINE FOCUS revealed that Hans ZIMMER didn’t want to be nominated for the Oscars anymore.
“I was 7 times nominated ; Each time, it brought my life out its balance ; call, interviews and stress. That’s why i decided it was enough. From now, I forbid the Filmstudios to submit my music to the Academy.”

I do understand how Zimmer could be upset about this. How can you write things like Chevaliers De Sangreal, What Shall We Die For, I Don’t Think Now Is The Best Time, Molossus, War, Heart of a Volunteer, Hello Beastie, and the list could go on forever!!! how do you write these marvelous tracks and not win an Oscar!? Something is very wrong here. Zimmer definitely deserves and oscar without doubt

Oh~~~Please Don Give up Mr.Hans……
Every year i sit in front of television watching Oscar, just waiting Hans works will "appreciate" by the jugde of Oscar this year, and up to the stage to say something(cause i miss the Lion King)….
I know someday it will happen again…i’m waiting.
Keep it up..and God Bless!!
(it is good to have YOU in the movie score industry, Mr.Hans)
Go, Mr. Zimmer! Oscars are nothing but a bunch of nonsense.
The true masters know it’s not about winning an award, no matter how small or big a scale; rather, it’s about THE WORK. Awards nominations can tip off a balance in which an artist maintains to be while honing their craft.
To me, Mr. Zimmer is already a winner. Just listen to his music.
I’m glad Hans Zimmer finally decided to put an end to these nominations. Why? Well through his action, you can tell where he truly stands. Hans Zimmer has a true passion in creating amazing music. Unlike many composers who only care about obtaining Awards to keep there reputation high, Hans Zimmer knows that its not the Awards that makes a man great but rather the effort put into his work. Well…That’s just my opinion.
Gustavo is doing Sean Penn’s latest film, Into The Wild:( (Why Sean? WHY?) At World’s End or Transformers would never be nominated by the Academy anyways. The Academy for some reason hates the MV group from what I can tell. The only other two MV composers I could even see being nominated would be John Powell or Harry Gregson-Williams sometime in the near future.
