WHEN JEAN-PIERRE MET HANS

Back in 2002‚ while promoting AmelieJean-Pierre JEUNET thought about Hans ZIMMER for scoring A Very Long Engagement. As an admirer of Hans ZIMMER‘s Gladiator‚ he thought Zimmer would be one of the best choice for scoring his new movie‚ an epic drama set around the World War 1.
Hans Zimmer who loved Amelie was thrilled by the idea. Unfortunaly‚ time schedule between them couldn’t be synchronised and each of them went their ways. Finally‚ the movie was scored by Angelo Badalamenti who previously worked with Jean-Pierre JEUNET for the City of Lost Children. However‚ the french director told us that this is not an end and sometimes in the future a collaboration could occurs.
