Being a very long time Hans "Long John" Zimmer fan and after seeing "At Worlds End", I couldn’t wait to get the score. And hearing it all again has been difficult at my house. I’ve been like a junky longing for my fix. My wife has almost taken it away from me.
The first day I got it I listened to it four times in a row. Ok, I’m not an obsessed fan, I just love great music, and I need to say that track 5, "Up Is Down" is now hovering at number one for my all time favorite tracks.
If i had to describe a specific woman that i met 2days before with music that music could be the following one: A hard teacher. (soundtrack: the last samurai). Thank you Mr Zimmer. (by the way this woman is a new teacher in my collegue).
Hans Zimmer is INSPIRATIONAL.
Almost as inspirational as his music =D
he’s back!!

Sounds as if the best pirates score has been saved for last
a definite role model for me. He has one of the smartest contemporary approaches to scoring and thought processes about why he chose that note and sound. Have never lost my objectivity about scoring because of this.
nice interview =)
very interesting
