Lorne BALFE & Atli Örvarsson nominated at the World Soundtrack Awards
The World Soundtrack Academy released the list of nominees for the World Soundtrack Discovery 2009, including composer Lorne BALFE for his work on Crying with Laughter and Atli Örvarsson for his Babylon A.D.‘s score.
The name of the winner will be announced on October 17 at the World Soundtrack Awards ceremony, the closing event of the Ghent International Film Festival.
Thanks to George Brown

in moviescoremagazine.com, atticus ross will be scoring book of eli instead of john powell/hans zimmer.
Lorne Balfe told me his sore for Crying With Laughter should be released over iTunes someday… :)
More news ASAP… ;)
Alli Oversson will score the remake of Karate Kid for next year.
The International is terrible outside the film.
I reckon Slumdog will win Best Original Score as usual (still rooting for F/N anyway). As for Film Composer, I’ll be rooting for Hans and Mike Giacchino, though I’ll be happy with whoever wins!
I haven’t seen this info on this site yet, maybe I missed it…
