"Show Me Your Firetruck"
From the Motion Picture Backdraft
Music Composed by Hans Zimmer
Produced by Hans Zimmer & Jay Rifkin

Mastered by Ramón Bretón at OceanView Mastering Studios
Milan Executive Album Producers: Emmanuel Chamboredon & Toby Pieniek

NOTE : "While Milan's original issue of the "Backdraft" soundtrack contained the album version of "Show Me Your Firetruck", this album offers the music that's heard in the actual film. This is Zimmer's favorite version of the cue, its percussion now "a little harder, a little more brassy and bold.""

This is such a great score, which captures Hans’ early days enthusiasm and still sounds much like him, as well as inventing the chugga-chugga when Baldwin runs for the final fire. How much of this was HZ and how much Walker? I love Walker and how she worked with Elfman. I am not saying that she composed anything but I think she cleaned up HZ’s messy style, as she did with Elfman

If you listed to the first Batman, it is very streamlined and clean and so much mor e impactful because of that, whereas Batman Returns is much more all-over-the-place. The same applies here – Backdraft is uniquely focused for an early 1990s HZ orchestral score, even The Lion King is messy. And that was obviously 1994, and then in 1995 he invented his own style which ended up mega-focused
