By the way, any info for Jacob Shea and Nathan Whitehead credits? Job Aschalew?
I have a guess – Shea probably wrote Super Batte. PROBABLY.
I’m curious about Jon’s credit because you can 100% tell his hands are all over this score but yet he doesn’t have a real credit. He’s a good friend of mine so I’ll ask him
Did Jon answered?..

Watched the movie last night and really loved the score, might be my favorite Jablonsky score now to be honest
Would say, my guilty pleasure by him.
But loving those big taikos.
I have SO MUCH love for Battleship’s score! The guitars, the synths, the percussion, the strings, the sound design…there’s SO much I can gush about it! I personally think it’s his best non-Transformers work
Some of the sound design in this are really clever in the sense of mimicking the sonar sounds.
If you edit together (crossfade) cues 5m63-72 and 6m79B-83A you might have the biggest blast in your life listening to those, lol

I really love what Jablonsky does with percussion. I think he's a master at writing for rhythm. As much as I love certain cues (most of them the theme suites) and the experimental "MRI buzz sound," there is just too much and rarely is there any structure to it. The "theme" for the aliens was great for 2 minutes, and then it grew old real quick. Needless-to-say, Jablonsky is still my favorite (after Zimmer, Powell & Gregson-Williams of course). ;)

I'm personally not a big fan of all those "Music from the Recording Sessions", "Complete score", "Expanded score"…
I do prefer the old classic "Music by" which can be used in every case… :P
