…from shady people on internet
You guys are aware that you literally destroyed film music by 1) making it interchangeable and replicable, paving the way for AI composition (well done HANS on that…..are you proud?), and 2) undermining the role of the composer to be simply a non-existent tool in the production infrastructure (works well for a big boy like Hans, what about people from less-privileged sites?)
You shouldn’t blame that on the composers though as that’s more of an issue with producers in Hollywood & their control on the film music in the industry.
Man, I feel like AI-generated music in Hans’s style will absolutely suck
Hans has paved the way for AI composition? Hans, whose process is more people oriented than any other and who pays more tribute (and credit) that you could ever imagine to every musician and fellow composer he works with? If something has made film music “interchangeable” and “replicable” is the movies and the studios themselves who are repetetive and ask for minor or zero originality more and more these days…
I actually get what he means, a lot of RCP stuff does sound similar at Times, but it has gotten way better in recent years. Also I doubt that AI will ever be able to create something like Interstellar or Dune.
Hans always brings in fresh/interesting elements to his scores that no one else can replicate. You know you’re listening to Zimmer. The knockoff composers take a couple of Zimmer’s stylistic tendencies, but they sound hollow and have no personality.
