I never made the statement that only orchestral scores are good. I like the TF movies, Halo soundtracks, a lot of Hans Zimmer works including Interstellar.

However, i have little appreciation or interest in scores with little to no melody besides basic progressions. I need a heart to my score, not just music that works for the movie.

Because i don't support the idea of 'only good scores are full orchestral', don't agree with that statement.

Yes, i love Your Highness and Steamboy, aslo really like stuff like TF (except the four) and TMNT 2. But also something like Pain & Gain, Bloodshot, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th or the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Deepwater Horizon, even i consider (unpopular opinion) guilty pleasure Battleship.

    Yes, i'm weird :p

Reminds me of that guy MacArthur. Whatever happened to him, I wonder! He doesn't visit here anymore.

Can’t believe another typical comment by Jack Afrogarrix was able to trigger a whole debate… The corona effect, I guess…

The comment by Jack Afrogarrix doesn't make sense. Spenser Confidential and Bloodshot are the ONLY Jablonsky soundtracks in 2020 so far. "My two favourite Jablonsky soundtracks of 2020" would only make sense, if there would be already more released than these two by Jablonsky in 2020.

Not all choir in movies are real these days, not only for Hans and guys.

Rembember The Last Airbender?, the choir in the movie is real, but in the album was the sample version, and believe, in that time, i can't if was real, but it was good.

I found myself more entertaining by this one (after multiple listenings) than with Skyscraper, but not more than TLK or TMNT and TLWH.

The themes are there, very simplistic, but effective (the melodie for RST twisted in 'Harting', for example or the more melodic and peaceful theme in 'KT'), and yes, the sound design, but in the defense of Jab, he is far more rhytmic than others attepmting it (the element of horror hearing in 'Martin Axe' or the percussive twisted agressive in 'The Tunnel') or the more echoing 'The Island' guitar riffs in 'Ray Garrison', even he reutilizes the percussive timing Decepcticon theme for the motif (i think) for Bloodshot.

Maybe, i gave him more credit, but in his defense, i was expecting something more electronic (plenty electronic are here), but is more orchestral and melodic i was expecting.

Because I have better things to do than get home and see it escalated into some shit show thread full of trolling.

When that happens, I don't do the police, it's gone.

And trust me I really don't care if it displeases anyone. And if it drives people away from that site ? I don't care either. It's not a commercial website you know, no one's making money out of it (apart from the free publicity it offers to composers, obviously lol), we don't have ads. So I'm not running after clicks. If comments cross the (I should say my) line, the get the boot. If trolls think I don't recognize their IPs when they change names or even try to play the smart asses giving a "fair opinion" hiding a true trolling agenda. Get the boot too.

Again, not happy ? Go on Twitter or other film music boards.
