Great score. Somebody said it didn’t sound like a Jablonsky score – trust me, it sounds just like that. It’s far more listenable that The Island or The Texas Chainsaw Massacre scores, though some of the action parts seem very similar. The main theme (Imoogi) is without a doubt the highlight and whenever it appears throughout the score, it’s just gorgeous. So is the folk song Arirang, a great arrangement by Jablonsky. On the other hand, the action material is not even close to Transformers. But all in all, D-War is easily one of the better Jablonsky scores – Steamboy and Transformers still lead the way for me.
