Vidal was hired for the tax credits. But when he wasn’t up to the task Balfe and team were brought in. But he can’t be credited as a main composer simply because if they did, that would be considered tax fraud lol.
========================
Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.
I don't think I've ever heard of a similar situation. But I imagine that it happens more often than we think. Shame for Vidal that he wasn't hired purely because of his talent.
Bayhem,
Is this true or your speculation?
BTW, do you know credits on this?
The only official credits on this score are Brian Tyler legacy credits.
And not official?
Dworetsky, Hilton and Stornetta actually worked officially on this one. So there should be credits
Well there isn’t. Them being listed in the end credits of the movie (of which Lorne, Max and Gary were the only ones) doesn’t guarantee any of them cuesheet credit.
Oh… now I see the titles changed to their "official" counterparts. Too bad :/ but at least we got a glimpse of the true story behind this score.
Lucas Vidal…
But after quite many years, you guys should know that I'm not very interested in "official" but more in "the truth"… ;) lol
I thought the composer was Lucas Vidal, Lorne having only written additional music… Can somebody explain?
LOL
What joke ?
Every Day a new joke by Hybrid…
Lorne did Antonov Pt.4, that I know Evenstar
It seems you were right. Sounds exactly like Lorne
