I actually really liked it. Just listened to it on the train home from work. Really enjoyed Kait's theme and the action cues, as well as the dark tinge to the tracks.
Is it his best? Not at all. And the album has the misfortune of being released not too long after Ramin's phenomenal GoT score which doesn't help things. But as far as a regular score goes, I've heard a LOT worse.
Both Gears 4 and 5 are complete disappointments, knowing what Ramin is capable of, a real pity.
Gears of War 4 was a big dissappointing score (honestly, i still prefer Gears 2 and 3), but this one is a little better, a improvement from the last score.
That's dosen't mean the score is terrific. It's entertaining, but still far from Gears 2 and 3
What? Tracks such as Kaits theme and Bittersweet victory alone brings a lot of depth to Gears 5.True,Gears of War 4 Soundtack had its issues, but with Gears 5 Djawadi has redeemed for his previous outing's weakness.
have you listened to the track "The Storm" from GoW4? Probably my most favorite from GoW 4 and 5
I think Lorne has the right sound for Gears
Gears scores haven't really been interesting since Gears 2… I never revisited Gears 3 & Judgement was terrible…
Ramin's best game is Medal of Honor. I have yet to listen to Gears 5…
Really great Soundtack, where Gears of war 4 focused on action cues, this Gears 5 soundtrack focuses on emotional pieces as well.
Great soundtrack. Really fits the game well. Just finished the game.
One of the most bombastic and epic shooter campaigns I played in the last decade.
