I hope HGW scores Affleck's Batman movie, seems like an obvious choice actually. Affleck keeps his relationship with HGW, and Batman remains in RCP territory. Nice deal :-p
I would rather to listen to that if that was to happen ñ.
Hard agree right there! After all, HGW already played in the superhero sandbox with X-Men Origins (Marvel). It wouldn’t hurt to hear what he would bring to a DC movie!
HGW hasn’t composed a good score in ~20 years. So yes, he could totally match some of the best composers ever to live.
Christ, guys.
Ian, that is the dumbest thing I’ve heard all week.
20 years? So we’re throwing out the Narnia scores, Kingdom of Heaven, Prince of Persia, The Martian, Catch-22, The Gilded Age scores, The Last Duel, and the Disneynature scores?
Maybe think next time before posting with all the intelligence of an ape with a typewriter.
He is right that I don’t see the current HGW doing something as great as Hans, Elfman and Gia. But the HGW in the early 2000s certainly could. With that said, HGW definitely had done some good scores in the last 20 years. The Martian was my favorite score that year. Kingdom of Heaven, The Last Duel, Prince of Persia, Prince Caspian, and even Mulan were good scores.

Two of these scores are good, and they were written effectively 20 years ago.
Chimp, indeed.
*ape, sorry
Yeah, HGW has written shitty music for effectively two decades. He needed backup (Lorne) to write non-shit music for The Crown
HGW didn’t write music for The Crown.
Rupert was.
Lmfao, thank you.
Further proves my point. HGW hasn’t written a good score in 20 years. Waiting for someone to tell me 19 years is not really 20 years.
I believe some of those examples prove wrong.
