    Noticed there’s no orchestral credits for this score. Same for Rush. Was there a real orchestra used for these movies, or just samples?

      I am unsure re: M:i2 (although it certainly *sounds* like it doesn’t contain any live orchestral work), but Rush is confirmed as having relied on Lorne’s sample library + live Martin Tillman cello solos + some guitar stuff from Zimmer’s assistants

      MIDI Library

      Weren’t 60-70℅ of Hans scores made of it?

      “some guitar stuff from Zimmer’s assistants”
      Michael Brook, I thing. Same guy, who worked here on guitar-heavy tracks

    Composer credits anyone?

    • Tim June 8, 2024 at 6:28 pm - Reply

      @ An0n:

      No, I am not blind. I was just so surprised by your findings that he is hardly mentioned here for the score. I really had to scroll to the top right to the end to read his name under “Additional Music”. I think it’s a shame why he’s here at the end and basically seems like a brief mention when, as in your list here, he composed at least half of it.

      I am therefore much more frustrated as to why he was never really mentioned or given the credits he so richly deserves. Unfortunately, this is the case in many projects and that’s exactly what I mean by his commitment. That he composed so much, as in your list, and had such a good influence on Hans, but in the end he is or was barely mentioned.

      @Stephane:

      I would very much like to understand the background as to why you say that. I’ve often read laughters in the comments, either here or on Facebook, when it comes to Klaus. But why is that?

    • REVANTHEWISE June 8, 2024 at 6:47 pm - Reply

      Yeah im wondering that too cause Klaus is stupid talented, and he was on the come up and then just stopped. His score for the promise is a masterpiece

    • Stéphane H. June 8, 2024 at 7:54 pm - Reply

      I won’t go into much details. Let’s say there’s the composer & the businessman. the first is super talent. The latter made a lot of enemies in Hollywood. It’s a waste really…

      Just watch the Klaus Badelt Cinema World Interview on youtube. It is in german and already a few years old, but there he explains, why he doesn’t work in Hollywood anymore.

      That’s why you need Jerry Bruckheimer on every Don Simpson
