There is a cue titled “Markiachi”: https://socios.sacm.org.mx/repertorio/obraSACMver.php?Id=908690800
Possibly 4m51?
How can you forget Blood+, Divas theme, I mean its one of his best tracks and score
Speed and Speed 2, my favorites of Mancina
The beginning of "Leg 7" is oddly identical to the track "Knife to a Gun Fight" from Michael Giacchino's Mission Impossible 4 score. I wonder if it might just be a coincidence, but it's definitely there. Weird, huh.
As for Mancina recommendations, he did a ton of really fun, thematic scores in the 90s…Speed, Bad Boys, Twister, Speed 2 etc. Those are pretty much all great. Tarzan is a strong score too, if you can find the score-only promo (apparently it was more important for the original album to have four versions of "Two Worlds, One Family" than to properly represent the score). And he did a score to a Japanese anime called Blood+ (yes, really) which is really good as well. Mancina's one of my favorites from MV because he never forgets to put in memorable themes and a sense of fun!
I just rated this 5 stars and whaddya know, it bumped the average up to 3. :p
The ratings on this site are weird though, I'd say just ignore them.
I'm usually not one to rant about this stuff, but can someone please explain to me how the hell does this have such a low rating in this site since pretty much before it was even released??
Not only that, but how can this have a lower rating than that absurdly missed opportunity that was the Man Of Steel score? I guess that alone speaks for the state of film music today…
I'm not saying that everyone was to love this score and give it 5 stars or anything like that, but jesus, doesn't make any sense to me…
The trailer cue (which is the first track, "Planes") is by far the best thing in the score but there are a lot of fun action cues that sound like Speed/Twister crossed with Henry Jackman action cues from Puss in Boots/Wreck-it Ralph. And the love theme in "Dusty and Ishani" has to be heard to be believed…it's like a Bollywood version of Days of Thunder. XD
Indeed. Was a bit confused about the indian themes, but looks like there is a plane from there so it makes sense. Nice work Mark Mancina!
Me too.
Waiting for that one as well !! :)
