Finally watched this…. I’d be curious how much Hans was involved. Obviously the main theme statements at the beginning and end sound like him. Some Holst-esque stuff at one point. Nice Spirit Easter egg in the theater scene. But it doesn’t sound very Zimmery to me.
I’ve seen this described elsewhere as essentially a Mazzaro score
I think for BB2, the theme for the main character’s daughter’s theme introduced in “Bedtime” is a theme by Zimmer. The rest was probably Mazzaro and the additional composers.
Any hint what Netflix film is Zimmer & Mazzaro working on?
Thanks for the project details. Is Nahre Sol now a permanent RCP member? Reading her bio, she has an interesting mixed musical background in “improvisation, the avant-garde, traditional Western forms and harmony, jazz, and minimalism.”
Really fun enjoyable score. Any idea who did what bits?
The main theme and the Baby Corp theme got some development and variations. There are a lot of new ideas in the score. Imo, it is much less frantic in terms of composition and much warmer and more mellow. But still very delightful. I think it is a big improvement over the original.
Does the score build on the themes and sound of the first one? I haven’t had time to listen to the new one yet
This is a great score btw.
