Does anyone know what the process was like between Gregson-Williams and Lorne? I mean, in the first season it was Rupert, but Lorne was in the shadows and in the second season Lorne shared credit. Rupert was replaced by Lorne at the last minute? I think there is an interesting story here.
Episodes 1, 2, 3, 8 & 9 scored by RGW.
Episodes 4, 5, 6, 7 & 10 by LB !
Nice, thanks for the Information
Thank you very much for the information, do you know anything about how the process was in the first season? LB was also involved.
Season 1 looked more like the usual Lorne rescue mission !
How does that division of episodes translate to the tracklist? I don’t remember which music was used in which episode…
Never seen any episode of that show, so I couldn’t help there ! lol
@Edmund I’ve made quite a few attempts to map out the episodes, and the reality is there is a lot of reuse of particular themes and motifs, often mildly reorchestrated, and the OST is fairly out of order
I’d be curious know if particular themes were done by one composer or another. Prince Philip’s theme on oboe is exceptional and extremely not stylistically RCP, and The Downfall is classic RCP power anthem + Goldsmith-esque calling and answering
In totality this might be my favorite RCP score barring A&D, and honestly it’s more listenable than even that
Btw lol at the French cover being used here
I certainly hope Rupert and Lorne come back for the final two seasons. I missed their style and I definitely want more versions of the “Duck Shoot” theme.
How come? Are they going to be busy?
