So Amazon says "temporary out of stock" and La-La-Land has no words about it. It's safe to assume that this album is gonna delay and even cancelled.

Heard today that The Interview WILL be released after all.

Makes me wonder if this double score soundtrack will still be released.

  3. Lambegue December 18, 2014 at 3:30 pm - Reply

I imagine most of the work for the album was already done – maybe it is even already pressed. In this case, would it change a lot, in terms of costs, to release it ? Maybe Sony has more to win than to loose by releasing it (even if I suppose that the profits on a soundtrack-album release is ridiculously low compared to the loss caused by not releasing the movie)

Why is Henry listed as composer Twice in the page?

  5. Macejko December 18, 2014 at 3:14 pm - Reply

Just for the record, it's not how I see the soundtrack business either (in case you couldn't tell already ;). Sadly, I think that the movie studios do. And we will hear Henry's work only through some bootleg.

Normally I'd agree with that line of thinking, Macejko – sad as it is – but this is La-La-Land we're talking about…a specialty score label that's actually interested in presenting the music for its own sake, rather than as a promotional tool.

  7. Macejko December 18, 2014 at 1:04 pm - Reply

Well, no movie means no soundtrack album as well. It's a way to promote a movie and Sony is done with that at this point.

  8. Russel December 18, 2014 at 3:52 am - Reply

I really hope not, the score is probably really interesting, and I really want This is the End as well.

  9. Leo December 18, 2014 at 12:58 am - Reply

The mentioning of the terrorist attack of September 11th was enough to make Sony and the major theaters shit their pants..

I wonder if with all the mess around the movie LLL will end up cancelling this…

    The day America died… lol
