I wish I knew what synthesisers or sound modules Hans Zimmer used to do 1m01S.

He never really said what electronic instruments he and his team had used at that time.

how come it goes from 7m19 to 9m20?

    • GermanRCPFan January 26, 2022 at 9:02 pm - Reply

maybe i’m missing some but i’m really interested what means 1m01
1 (is reel, i understand, but i dont know length that one reel has in it)
      m – i don’t know
and 01,02,05,90… how they categorize that…

    • GermanRCPFan January 26, 2022 at 9:04 pm - Reply

p.s. why some sessions have 1m1,2m1,3m1 and other have 1m01,3m15,4m70 etc

    • Stéphane H. January 26, 2022 at 9:28 pm - Reply

Usually reels will be around 15/20 of movies, depending.

Reel 1 cue 1 : 1m01, “S” stands for song or source material.

And yeah there’s usually 2 ways of doing, going all the way from cue 1 to last cue (ie 10m74), or indeed 1m1, 1m2, 1m3 and 2m1, 2m2, 2m3… Depends what the composers are used to. JNH usually uses version 2, Hans and RCP generally v1. The point in all this is that they all find where is what in the end ! lol

There’s a cool Junkie XL video on his YT channel about this topic.

oh really? That’s cool I’ll look for it! maybe it has some cue numbers in it.
So you aren’t sure about the full details of 7m19? I hadn’t thought that maybe because it’s 8 minutes it’s a combo of reels 7 and 8
