I always find it amusing that people are surprised when they hear a score from their favorite composer and it's totally different from what they're used to. Are composers only to write action thriller music if that's what they're known for? Or are they allowed to express them self by composing a score for a film with a romantic inclination?
I've just listened to the full album and I have to say, it's both very suprising and very good music. I really like what Ramin has created in this one, even if it's not his usual style, it's a wonderful and beautiful score. I'm loving the main theme!
Very surprising score from Ramin, I'll say a rather pleasant surprise. First time I hear something like that from him!
Does anybody know if this is available on Spotify or something like that? I want to fully hear it first, and then I decide if I buy it or not. Thanks in advance!
Yeah, I watched it too. It looks like it's going to be something new in Djawadi's scores. I hope the rest of the score is as good as the suite.
Saw a feature this morning about the score on this film. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQxcIcah2pQ Sounds great.
Well, no samples but there is the suite to give you an idea of how it will sound like.
Even if this Friday is thr release of Blade Runner 2049 and that will grab the majority of attention (probably including mine), I'm really looking forward to hear this score to discover how Djawadi complexes music outside the Game of Thrones/Warcraft/Pacific Rim style and so, that are the one I know of him (and also The Great Wall and Westworld).
Digital release is this friday as expected… pre-order up on itunes, no samples.
Thanks for posting this! This sounds indeed amazing, very different in style from typical Djawadi scores.
So here's a suite for this film. Sounds really good! soundcloud.com/ lakeshore-records/mountain-between-us-suite-mountain-between -us-soundtrack/s-4dxhj
