so I’ve seen all Zimmer’s big movies. Lately I’ve been watching his less well known projects including this one. Did he actually work on this? I haven’t heard him discuss it in interviews and nothing jumped out at me as “oh that’s Hans” besides one thing in the ending that reminded of Black Hawk Down
Yes he worked a lot on that one, more than he was supposed to. Unlike Invincible that was basically almost all Klaus. But that one was supposed to be “more Klaus” as well but ended up very collaborative (jamming with the soloists) and Hans was very involved.
Thanks, funny you mention Invincible, it was next on my list haha

This is a superb DVD! For a ivnlioist, Frank Peter Zimmermann represents the highest level of musicianship. The Documentary is not just about Bach, in fact it has lots of other footage, including his son and his own performance of the Sibelius Violin Concerto with the Danish Radio Symphony (this is excellent). He plays like Kogan, not surprisingly and his technique is as flawless as any ivnlioist I have seen or heard.
