I notice that the “End Credits” from the Intrada release is not at all the film version. Completely different. The Intrada “End Credits” is tracked from “Hummel / Seals.” Why is this? Thank you so much for this release! Holy grail of mine.
It is the end credits as heard in the film. They used the alternate segment of Hummel / SEALs (slightly edited), so it made sense to have it featured there instead of the “alternates” section. Part 2 & 3 of the End Credits are edits from Tour’s Over Bob & SEAL Attack, so no need to have it duplicated here…
Stéphane though, I’m 100% sure it’s not the same end credits. The end credits has a wetter mix, slightly fuller instrumentation, and a wailing electric guitar. It’s a totally different recording. I compared right before I left my original comment.
At any rate, top notch job. So happy for this to be out, and I love Demo 2 of The Chase so much :)
It’s the same recording. The mix is different indeed, but that’s the case for the whole score…
The whole score?.. It can’t be… It is all there second by second… Only volume changes, really…
Scores in films are usually adjusted to pictures, the volumes of the different layers might differ from what you hear on album.
And most scores are mixed for 5.1 or Atmos now. The stereo mixes are usually just mixdowns of a more complex work. Depending on how it’s been down mixed, the end result may vary from one version to another.
Would be great if they could release 5.1 soundtracks more often….
But I get it – 4 more channels, basically 3 times size… So either more discs to manufacture… either less music to hear
I don’t think 5.1 CDs exist… that’s more like BluRays that allow surround music. Many musicians / studios keep only the stereo mixdowns of their work, but they don’t necessarily keep 5.1 mixes (apart from the film mix with sound effects).

In the track Opening – Naval Weapons Depot ist a “weird” passage or cut of the music during 4:50 and 4:54. It is also in the movie. Do you maybe know why? On the original album that passage is not there.
Thank you very much for the explanation Iguana.
